My name is Alyssa Ruganis, the artist behind Asayla. I am a multimedia artist working primarily with graphite and oil paint. My work often blends realism with abstraction and is largely inspired by nature and the quiet beauty I see around me.

Art has always been a constant in my life. It has been a dream of mine to turn it into a career, and I feel incredibly grateful to be able to share my work with others.

My inspiration most often comes from my own state of reverie. I tend to get lost in thought while staring at a blank canvas, and somewhere in that quiet space the image of what I want to paint begins to appear. From there, the process becomes about bringing that vision to life.

When it comes to my art, I have always said: “The talent comes from the passion, not the skill.”
